why don't the disabled be more supportive of the trans-humanist movements de-legitamize?
Q. Especially where the themselves would be among the chief benefactors of such enhanchments ,but it just is too politically incorrect to dare say as such. Or curation just might de-legitamize the political left, as well as in some other ways too. Believe it or not, we can end disability forever eventually. well for your info, little barb. I do suffer from disability too. ASD(autistic spectrum disorders) and being a nice guy as well.I do want a cure as such so I'll have the same chance as anyone to date a pretty girl or to hold down a normal middle income job that helps pays the bills with no one else helping me as well. What's so controversial with living life as a normal mature adult anyhow? well the trans-humanist movement is a movement… [cont.]

A. Trans-humanism movement, bionic people, more or less, using technology to alter, rectify and enhance the human body. Concentrating on the neurological systems. Its kind of freaky scary stuff, like playing God. At which point do we lose our "humaness" and become robots? Albeit very intelligence ones? How do the alter the cognitive functions of the brain without removing the characteristics that make us individuals? (Our personalities, our ability to love) Transhumanism (sometimes symbolized by >H or H+) is an international intellectual and cultural movement supporting the use of new sciences and technologies to enhance human mental and physical abilities and aptitudes, and ameliorate what it regards as undesirable and unnecessary… [cont.]

Machiavelli- please help?
Q. In Machiavelli's writings what evidence is there of influence on the humanist movement? Also, do you know of any leaders who might rule like Machiavelli had advised? Or any leaders or generals who attain success by fear? I need help with this today if it is not too much trouble. Thank you very much!!!

A. Like the humanists Machiavelli was influenced by examples from classical antiquity. He uses tales from ancient Greece and Rome to make points about contemporary problems and the running of a state. Like most humanists Machiavelli essentially looked backwards in order to move forwards although he does use examples of contemporary events and ruler too. Machiavelli's The Prince was not the first book written on statecraft by a humanist. The famous Petrarch had previously written on the subject. Humanist prior to Machiavelli tended to quote Cicero a lot in their mirrors for princes as the ancient Roman insisted that persuasion and communication were a prince's best virtues. Machiavelli differed as he considered that a prince, if need be could… [cont.]

Can someone please point me in the direction of the theory or social movement pertaining to 'equalism'?
Q. I keep hearing about this theory, and how we should all be equalists now, and how feminism doesn't stand for equality and we should be humanists, etc. But where IS the theory of equalism? Are there any books on it? Is there any analysis of it? Is it an individual or a structural theory? What kind of economic theory is it? What kind of changes in society does it recommend? Many thanks :-) (And feminists are humanists, btw...) Marx - humanism is the theory that humans are capable of reason, and so are the possessors of certain inalienable human rights, such as the right to vote - almost all western theory and social movements are based on this theory - the only people who are not humanists, are post modernists :-)

A. Equalism is an American Christian political-type group. Humanism is a spiritual-type belief.
